Ruka tha main har us pal mein, jahaan tumhari aawaaz aati thi,

बिना अलविदा कहे तुम चले गए,
मगर मेरी कहानी वहीं नहीं रुकी।
जो दरवाज़ा तुमने चुपचाप बंद किया,
मैंने खुद के लिए एक नया खोल लिया।

Bina alvida kahe tum chale gaye,
magar meri kahani wahin nahi ruki.
Jo darwaaza tumne chupchaap band kiya,
maine khud ke liye ek naya khol liya.

तुम्हारे जाने का कोई कारण नहीं मिला,
पर मेरे संभलने का हौसला ज़रूर मिल गया।

Tumhare jaane ka koi kaaran nahi mila,
par mere sambhalne ka hausla zaroor mil gaya.
