Respected principal, teachers, and all the wonderful children gathered here today, good morning. It is a true privilege to stand here as a parent and share a few words on this special occasion of Children's Day. Watching my own child grow up has taught me more about life than perhaps any book or experience ever could. There is something humbling about watching a small person learn to tie their shoelaces, sound out their first word, or proudly bring home a drawing that looks nothing like what it is supposed to be, yet somehow means everything to us. As parents, we often worry about grades, about competition, about preparing our children for a world that can be demanding and unforgiving. But days like today remind us to pause and simply enjoy who our children are right now, not just who we hope they will become. To the teachers in this room, thank you for being partners in this journey, for nurturing patience where we sometimes run short, and for seeing potential in our children on days when we, as tired parents, might miss it. To the children sitting here so brightly dressed and excitedly waiting for the celebrations to begin, please know that you do not need to rush to grow up. We, the adults around you, will handle the worries of the world for as long as we can, so that you can focus on what matters most right now - learning, playing, making friends, and being happy. You are not a project to be perfected; you are a person to be loved, exactly as you are today. On behalf of all the parents here, thank you for filling our homes and this school with so much joy.
