The framers of our Constitution understood that India's strength would never come from forcing everyone to be the same. Instead, true strength would come from celebrating our differences while standing united on matters of national importance. This is why our Constitution guarantees the right to practice any religion, speak any language, and preserve any culture, while also asking every citizen to remain loyal to the idea of one India. Unity in diversity is not just a phrase we repeat in textbooks; it is a daily practice in our streets, schools, and workplaces, where people of different backgrounds work side by side toward common goals. It is seen when a Hindu neighbor helps decorate a Muslim friend's home for Eid, or when an entire village, regardless of faith, comes together to celebrate a local harvest festival. On this Republic Day, let us renew our commitment to this beautiful diversity. Let us celebrate our differences as a source of strength rather than division, and let us always remember that our true power as a nation lies in standing together despite, and because of, our differences.
