Kim Cattrall, Emily VanCamp, and Many Others Pay Tribute to the Late Treat Williams, Who Passed Away at the Age of 71…

The loss of Treat Williams has left the entertainment industry in a state of sadness. According to reports from ET, the star of the television shows Hair and Everwood passed away on Monday after being engaged in a motorbike accident. He was 71.

Kim Cattrall is one of the many people who worked with or were friends with the late celebrity who have taken to social media to pay tribute to him and express their deepest sympathies to the deceased’s family. Williams is survived by his wife, Pam Van Sant, as well as two of his daughters, Gill and Elinor, also known as “Ellie.”

“I can’t believe it! “Rest in peace, dear Treat,” Cattrall wrote next to a vintage photo of the two of them in a film role. My deepest sympathies go out to Pam, Gilles, Ellie, and the rest of the family. A superb buddy and performer in his own right.”

Emily VanCamp, who co-starred with Williams in Everwood, said in an essay that “The many times we worked together – it was always wonderful, and I was always excited for the next time.” I am sending all of my love and support to you and your family, Treat. I wish you the best, my good buddy.”

The pair collaborated once again in the film Beyond the Chalkboard, which was produced by CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame in 2011.

Through the use of his Instagram Story, John Travolta reflected on a time when he and Williams traveled together on Broadway.

According to what the author has said, “Treat Williams and I got our start together in New York City appearing in two Broadway shows: Grease and Over Here.” “I’m very sorry to bother you, Treat. You and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. You will not be forgotten. Sincerely, John”

Hilaria Baldwin posted the following on her Instagram Story: “We feel awful… Our hearts have been shattered. May you finally find some peace, my dear buddy. Pam. Gill, Elinor.. We send love.” In the film Drunk Parents, which was released in 2019, Hilaria Williams’ husband Alec Baldwin had a starring role alongside Williams. Baldwin conducted an interview with Williams on his illustrious career for an episode of Inside the Actor’s Studio that aired in December 2022.

On his Instagram timeline, Matt Bomer, who worked with Williams on the television show White Collar, shared a touching reminiscence of their time together.

He stated, “This is a tough one, and I don’t like doing this on social media, but I want to share what an absolute treasure Treat Williams was- both as an actor and as a person.” Treat Williams passed away in 2014. “He jumped right in and made every day on set a joy, and I was so honored that he agreed to play my father on White Collar. Every day was a celebration because of him.” He taught me in the most wonderful manner possible, which was by setting a patient example. Even many years after we finished working together, he is one of the very few performers I’ve worked with that has ever asked after my well-being. I’m going to miss you, Treat, because in addition to being a terrific actor, you were an even better guy. I consider it a great blessing to have been able to get to know you. My thoughts and prayers are with your wife and children during this difficult time. Dear Friend, May You Rest in Peace”

In the movie “Second Act” from 2018, Williams portrayed the role of an on-screen father to Vanessa Hudgens.

“He was a wonderful movie parent and an even greater real guy. Treat Williams was an amazing actor who also had the warmest heart. He was a pleasure to be around. She said in a post on her Instagram Story that “he will be missed.”

The 71-year-old actor had a career spanning four decades with more than 120 credits to his name. His first picture, Hero, was released in 1975, marking the beginning of his career.

Williams’ performance as George Berger in the film adaptation of the successful Broadway musical Hair was the high point of his career. Hair was adapted from the musical of the same name. Because of his performance in the role, he received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award in the category of New Star of the Year.

After that, he would go on to feature in a number of films and television programs, one of which being Everwood, on which he portrayed the role of Dr. Andrew Brown for the WB.

In addition, Steven Spielberg’s 1941, Prince of the City, and Blue Bloods all include Williams’ work, as does the Hallmark Channel series Chesapeake Shores.

After Williams’ loss, Hallmark Channel issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight in which they said, “We are heartbroken over the passing of Treat Williams, a beloved member of our Hallmark family and an immense talent who captured the hearts of millions of people.” To have had the opportunity to collaborate with Treat, who has brought to life many iconic characters throughout the course of his career, is really a blessing. Both the happiness that he brought to our screens and the legacy that he leaves behind will live on in our memories of him. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and loved ones on the loss of their loved one.
