Sylvester Stallone responds to the news that Adele bought his mansion and will keep the “Rocky” statue…

Not only does it seem like Adele will be preserving the legendary Rocky statue by the pool at the property that she just purchased from Sylvester Stallone, but it also appears that the monument was really a dealbreaker when it came to acquiring the house in the first place.

The Hollywood action hero recently opened up to WSJ. Magazine for a part in their “My Monday Morning” series, where he reminisced on the recent sale of his home, which was situated in the Beverly Park neighborhood of Los Angeles on a 3.6-acre site and had picturesque vistas.

When asked why he didn’t want to take the monument with him when he moved, Sylvester Stallone replied, “I did!” in response to the question. The statue features Rocky Balboa, one of Stallone’s most famous characters. Adele, though, was having none of it.

Reportedly, Adele paid $58 million for the mansion when she purchased it in 2017, representing a considerable discount compared to the estate’s initial market price of $110 million. Sylvester Stallone first asked $80 million for the property before selling it to Adele.

Now, Adele is completely remodeling the expansive estate from top to bottom. As can be seen in photographs taken of the estate earlier this month, work on the house has already begun in earnest, and it has been gutted almost entirely and reduced to its skeletal structure. In point of fact, as of this stage in the remodeling process, the whole second floor of the house has been removed, and almost all of the walls have been torn down.

Stallone said to the newspaper, “I like what she’s doing,” in reference to the planned modifications the vocalist is doing. “She’s making it look absolutely gorgeous.”
