Thank you all for gathering here today. I will keep this brief, because I know everyone is eager to get to the cake. After thirty wonderful years with this company, today marks my last official day, and I cannot think of a better way to spend it than surrounded by so many familiar, friendly faces. When I started here, I had no idea this job would become such a meaningful part of my life. I came for a paycheck and stayed for the people. The friendships built in this building, over shared deadlines, shared frustrations, and shared victories, are what I will carry with me far more than any title or award. I want to thank my managers for trusting me with responsibility, my team for their patience on my worst days, and every new hire who reminded me why I loved this work in the first place. You all kept me sharp, kept me humble, and kept me laughing. Retirement does not mean I am disappearing. It means I finally get to sleep past six, take that road trip I have talked about for a decade, and maybe even master a golf swing that has embarrassed me for years. But I will be thinking of all of you, and I hope you will think of me too, fondly and often. To whoever takes over my desk, be kind to the coffee machine, it has a temper.
