Whoopi Goldberg asked Alysa Farah Griffin on “The View” about her pregnancy, and Alysa Farah Griffin laughed it off, saying that she “takes it as a compliment.”

According to Alyssa Farah Griffin, the relationship between her and Whoopi Goldberg, who co-hosts The View with her, is doing great.

On Friday’s episode of the Behind the Table podcast, Farah Griffin discussed the unexpected pregnancy question that she was asked on Thursday during a live talk regarding Utah Senator Mitt Romney’s decision not to seek for re-election in 2024. She also said that she took the question as a compliment and that it came as a surprise to her.

She started painting the scene of the day’s events while joking about the unprovoked question, adding that her mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law were in the front row to watch her, which seemed to add to the discomfort of the talk. While she was laughing over the unjustified question, she began painting the scene of the day’s events.

“If there are two people in my life who want me to be pregnant today more than anyone else, it’s them, so just the most fortuitous timing,” the former director of strategic communications at the White House stated, before complimenting her makeup artist for giving her a bright glow.

Farah Griffin, who is 34 years old, shared with the audience and the producer of The View, Brian Teta, that she had faith that the EGOT winner would not intend any damage by her interest. “Whoopi, she thinks out loud sometimes, and I chose to take it as a compliment — that I’m glowing,” she added. “Whoopi,” she remarked, “thinks out loud sometimes.” “She’s such a nice person.”

“While we were taking a break, she was profusely apologizing to me and giving me the middle finger,” Farah Griffin said. “That’s what makes watching the program so entertaining. It’s impossible to foresee what will happen. I was under the impression that we were going to chat about Mitt Romney, but it turned out that we were going to talk about my pregnancy plans for the future, which just to reiterate, according to recent reports, I am not pregnant at this moment.

Teta made a sarcastic inquiry as to whether or if Farah Griffin wanted to issue a “formal statement” on the rumors. After that, he emphasized that they were all a part of a live concert that was not pre-recorded in any way.

“Reporters were literally texting me during the break in the program asking, ‘Do you care to respond to this?'” Farah Griffin continued to giggle as she discussed the event, saying, “I used to take questions about like, there was a missile attack in Afghanistan and now I’m like, ‘No, I’m not going to comment on my fake pregnancy right now.'” Griffin was referring to the fact that she used to answer questions like that in the past.

Both parties said that the actress from “The Color Purple” felt bad about having been asked.

“After the show, Whoopi told me, ‘It just came over me, I don’t know what happened. everything was almost like she was having a vision, and she had the impression that everything simply flowed out of her,” the executive producer stated.

According to Farah Griffin, she is prepared with a strategy for sharing the news of her pregnancy whenever the time comes to make the announcement of the pregnancy.

If and when I find out I’m pregnant, you can count on me to announce it publicly. I will most certainly interupt Whoopi in order to notify her,” she said while appearing on the program.

Teta referred to Goldberg’s comments as being “out of character” before pointing out that the Sister Act actress is often the one who cautions Farah Griffin against disclosing “too much personal information on the show.”

“I have no doubt that if I were to actually tell her in private that I was pregnant, the first thing she would say to me would be, ‘Wait until you’re ready to tell people.'” That is without a doubt the most hilarious aspect of it,” Farah Griffin said. “She would never be so brazen as to yell it out over the radio. But hear me out, since that’s what makes the program so entertaining.
