Shakira will walk the red carpet at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards with two very special guests – her sons.

The Colombian diva, who will be presented with the video vanguard award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, took her two boys, Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, along with her as her dates to the award presentation. Milan is the older of the two, while Sasha is the younger.

On the red carpet, the whole family was beaming with happiness, and the two boys were seen lovingly hugging their mother, who is up for four Moon Person nominations. (In addition to winning the Video Vanguard award, the Grammy winner is also nominated for artist of the year, best Latin for both “Acróstico” and “TQG,” her song with Karol G., which is both nominated for best Latin and best collaboration.)

While the singer appeared in a stunning gold gown, her boys donned ensembles that were identical to their mother’s and complemented her appearance. Both of the lads were dressed identically, donning sweatsuits that were black and yellow from head to toe and matching shoes with the same pattern.

Shakira and her ex-boyfriend Gerard Piqué are the parents of their two children. Despite the fact that she ended her relationship with the ex-footballer in June 2022, the celebrity has said that she is doing all in her power to “conceal” the situation from her children. According to what she said with ELLE, “I try my best to do it and to protect them, as that is my primary objective in life.”

In addition to this, she is passionate about providing her boys with a life that is as close to typical as is humanly feasible.
