Premature Baby Was Trapped In Plastic Bag In Dumpster, But This Dog’s Heroic Action Saved Its Life.

In a small, rural town in Thailand, residents know a sweet local dog named Pui.

Usually occupied by digging through garbage for food scraps, Pui is loved by the townspeople. But Pui did something that grew the town’s affection for him even more.

While on his daily rummaging run, the pup found something curious: a plastic bag. It wasn’t as much the bag as what it contained that was jarring. The moment he brought it home, her owner’s (Gumnerd Thongmak) 12-year-old niece opened the door and shock filled the air.

Inside of the tiny plastic bag was a BABY. Immediately, they got in the car and rushed the very premature infant to the hospital, where she was put into an incubator.

It was a miracle that Pui found the baby, decided to grab it, had a soft enough bite to carry it, and had the persistence to bring it all the way home.  Incredible.

Because of his heroic actions, Red Cross officials awarded Pui with a leather collar and a medal “as a token of appreciation for his noble act.”

And the baby Pui saved? In a heart-warming turn of story, many families in the town hope to adopt her… and officials are looking for the mother (and whoever else) is behind the attempted murder.

This little dog truly did save a life! And it goes to show that no matter who you are, there’s always a way to help someone in need.
