May God help us to apply His word to our lives everyday

Application is where the rubber meets the road, where truth moves from the theoretical to the practical. A Bible opened for observation and interpretation without application is simply a decoration. 

As Christians, we know we are to obey God, to grow spiritually, and to actually apply the Bible to our lives. But applying God’s word to your life can be a challenge. Thankfully the word of God itself gives us an understanding on how to best apply God’s word in our everyday life.

Applying God’s word in your life will never be easy and we will never do it perfectly on this side of eternity. But through God’s means of grace, he will give us the power to grow in him every day. But keep pressing on, keep reading the word, memorize, obey and do it joyfully! Amen 

“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”  ~ 2 Peter 1:10-11
