Mauricio Umansky shares the latest updates regarding his marriage to Kyle Richards: “We’re hanging in there”…

The reality star gives an interview in which he discusses his relationship with his divorced wife as well as his participation on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’

As he laces up his dance shoes, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky is creating history. The reality star made history on Wednesday when it was revealed that he will be competing on Dancing With the Stars season 32. He is the first spouse of a Bravo Housewife to ever compete on the program.

When Umansky heard that he is shattering the glass barrier for Housewives’ spouses, he had a nice and delightful surprise. “Isn’t that wonderful? ” “I didn’t realize until recently that I was the first House[wives] husband, and I think it’s awesome,” he tells ET’s Rachel Smith. “I think it’s awesome.” “I feel honored, and I’m glad I could be the one to pave the path for other Housewives’ husbands,” he said. “I feel like I’m the one who should be thanking them.”

The real estate broker is paired with dancing pro Emma Slater and will compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy alongside celebs such as Ariana Madix of Vanderpump Rules and Scandoval fame, former Bachelorette Charity Lawson, who was announced as a contestant shortly after her engagement to Dotun Olubeko, Jamie Lynn Spears, who plans to donate her salary from the show to SAG-AFTRA and the WGA amid the ongoing strikes, singer Jason Mraz and actress Mira Sorvino.

When asked whether he is ready for the task, Umansky freely concedes that the battle will take place on a playing field that is different from what he is used to seeing. “This is something completely different than I’ve ever done — it’s completely outside of my comfort zone,” he tells ET. “I’ve never done anything like this before.” “There [are] certain motions… I mean, dancing is not something that I would ever perform on public television. It’s something I’ve always been interested in learning, seeing as how I’m Latino and have part of that culture already ingrained in me.

Slater is a strong supporter of her spouse, telling ET that the reality star in question have the movements and the desire to match his own.

“I was just telling somebody earlier; for me, it’s about putting the technique and almost the finishing tone and touches on movement that he already has,” she reveals. “For me, it’s about putting the technique and almost the finishing tone and touches on movement that he already has.” “So, to sum it up, I’m pretty excited about the prospects, you know? That type of excitement and passion for the dance is something that can’t be taught, yet he has it naturally.

Umansky freely acknowledges that he had a moment of anxiety the night before the rehearsal, and he even joked that he wanted to back out of his commitment to participate. “And then I got to rehearsal, and my feet could not have been heavier,” he adds in response to Slater’s objections. However, we have now gone through the rehearsal process four times, and it simply feels so amazing. My life consists entirely of dancing around the house. My children comment that I even dance when I’m in the shower, and I respond by saying that they think I dance all the time. When I get home, I start dancing; when I go to work, I start dancing there… Simply said, I’ve had a great time doing it.”

Fans may look forward to seeing the father of three’s kids in the audience once the program starts broadcasting, as he reveals that his daughters have been “super supportive” of him during the process of creating the show.

Umansky and his ex-wife Kyle Richards have four children together: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Additionally, Umansky has a daughter named Farrah Brittany, who is 34 years old, whom she shares with her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie. In spite of the fact that the couple’s marital problems have lately made news, the real estate broker claims that Richards’ participation in the competition series will not be affected by those problems.

The Bravo universe was taken aback on July 3 when it was revealed that Richards and Umansky had chosen to end their marriage after 27 years of being together.

According to People magazine, a source close to the couple informed the publication that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress and the real estate agent from Buying Beverly Hills “have been separated for quite some time now but are still living under the same roof.” They continue to get along well as they work out what’s best for themselves and their family in the future.

The pair responded to the issue not long after it occurred, claiming that they were about to end their marriage by filing for divorce but acknowledging that they’d had a “rough year” in their relationship.

The pair has made it clear that they are parting ways on cordial terms, despite the fact that the circumstances surrounding their breakup are challenging. Umansky has said to ET that viewers will “100 percent” see the whole family throughout the course of the season to support him on his trip.

Umansky says this of his relationship with Richards: “You know, we’re hanging in there, we’re working through all of our things, which everybody knows about, and we’re just taking it day by day.” “We are doing all in our power to avoid being swayed by the press, as well as all of the social media and everything else that is going on. So instead of taking any notice of it, we’re going to attempt to work it out on our own.

“I can tell you that we are both happy,” he continues to say.

Regarding the forthcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, Umansky has expressed his expectation that viewers would take pleasure in the contributions that he and the other cast members make to the competition. “I hope that they get invested in my journey and in our journey together,” I said. “I am very excited about the way that we will approach the season and all of the dances.”

He continues by saying, “I’ve been talking to Emma a lot about it, and she’s got some really great creative ideas,” and I agree with him. Simply said, we couldn’t be more thrilled about it.

The launch of Dancing With the Stars Season 32 will take place on September 26 on ABC with a longer live broadcast.
