Little Girl Fighting For Her Life In ER As Body Fails, Then Mom And Dad Witness God’s Miracle In Final Hours.
Arden Jane Bogroff was born in 2010 as a spunky baby. Her birth brought so much joy into the lives of her family members.
However, her birth also brought the diagnosis of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This disease leaves the left side of the heart underdeveloped, and blood cannot be sufficiently pumped to the rest of the body.
At just seven years old, Arden has fought many hard battles. She has been in and out of hospitals, receiving surgeries and treatments.
Because of her family’s strong faith in God, they feel like they can handle whatever life throws at them. Though it’s not always easy, they know that God is always on their side.
A recent change in health sent Arden straight to the hospital. Doctors could not figure out what was wrong, so the young girl sat in a hospital bed waiting for answers.
The weeks following were a roller coaster. Arden’s health would improve for a few days before becoming worse than it had been before. She was transferred to a hospital that was away from her home state of Oregon.
As health problems kept piling up, the family prayed for a miracle. Unsure of how long she had left, they enjoyed every moment they had with their little girl.
As the diagnosis looked more and more grim, doctors fought to get Arden healthy enough to be discharged so she could spend her last days at home. After more tests came back, they realized there was no way she would be able to be discharged.
Arden’s only hope was that she would be able to return to her home state of Oregon. After some time in her local hospital, Arden was miraculously able to be discharged to at-home hospice care.
Arden’s dad, Jimmy, has been relishing his time at home with his little girl. One night they spent time listening to worship music, and the lyrics, “A miracle can happen now, for the Spirit of the Lord is here,” prompted Arden to ask her dad what a miracle was.
Jimmy explained that a miracle is when God does something that it would be impossible for man to do himself. Something clicked in Arden’s mind, and she asked, “Like my heart?”
Jimmy could not agree more. “We continue to see his perfect timing in place, and we’ve already witnessed miracles like her recovery on the 21st when we thought we only had hours left with her,” he said.
Emotional and financial strain has taken a toll on the family, but they are hopeful that friends and family will continue to show their support. A page has been set up to accept donations for medical expenses.
Arden’s family has enjoyed the time they have been able to spend with their girl, and they are happy that she was able to spend her last days comfortably at home. Sadly, the sweet little girl passed on from this life on June 9. Her mother wrote the following:
“Today Heaven met earth and collected one of its most beautiful saints. Arden is with Jesus, no pain, complete comfort, and happier than she has ever been.”
