Happy National Nurses Day!

Dear Father God, thank You for keeping our nurses safe and for blessing them with Your Strength during this pandemic.

Only You and the nurses know how tiring and fatiguing the work of a nurse can be, so grant them the strength to endure during their long shifts in this time of chaos.

Protect them today, with Your loving wings.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.—Philippians 4:6

They must feel like they’re being pulled in so many different directions and often at the same time, so help them to have the patience that they will need to be able to stay focused on their job.

Nurses are so overworked and underpaid and even under-appreciate so I acknowledge now the very important job they have in the place in which they serve.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.—1 Peter 5:7

They are under such stress and strain and they never really have enough time to do everything that’s asked of them in their job but they still usually go above and beyond what’s expected of them.

Please, Father, grant them patience to endure today while everything around them seems chaotic, and I thank You God for what these women and men do in their nursing profession.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.—Psalm 23:4

Help them to endure the long hours and thankless duties that they perform, much of which is unseen by human eyes but You know God how much nurses sacrifice of themselves.

They are so valuable to us and save countless lives and yet receive little recognition for that, and so please, I pray, bless them and give them the strength to carry on when it’s the most difficult time to do so and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray,
