1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe unto HaShem, O ye sons of might, ascribe unto HaShem glory and strength.

2 Ascribe unto HaShem the glory due unto His name; worship HaShem in the beauty of holiness.

3 The voice of HaShem is upon the waters; the G-d of glory thundereth, even HaShem upon many waters.

4 The voice of HaShem is powerful; the voice of HaShem is full of majesty.

5 The voice of HaShem breaketh the cedars; yea, HaShem breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.

7 The voice of HaShem heweth out flames of fire.

8 The voice of HaShem shaketh the wilderness; HaShem shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of HaShem maketh the hinds to calve, and strippeth the forests bare; and in His temple all say: 'Glory.'

10 HaShem sat enthroned at the flood; yea, HaShem sitteth as King for ever.

11 HaShem will give strength unto His people; HaShem will bless his people with peace.

It's used seven times as a refrain for thunder, picturing God's power moving through a storm -- breaking cedars (v.5), dividing flames of fire (v.7), and making the wilderness shake (v.8).
How does the psalm end?
It closes with a blessing: 'The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace' (v.11), a note similar to the priestly blessing in Numbers 6:24-27.
