A woman with her own hands turned her home into a Barbie house

Rachel Havender never liked the minimalist interior, but for a long time she could not understand how to decorate her home. Their own childhood dream and the imagination of their two daughters came to the rescue. From the photos, you might think that the little family lives in a full-fledged toy house. Everything here is so doll-like, and fairy-tale-like in a shade of pink.

But along with the rich pink, Rachel’s mom created plenty of accents, including blues and purples. In his blog, Havender said that she lived in a traditional light Scandinavian interior for several years. However, she was uncomfortable in the bright apartment. Rachel believes she made the right decision when she ditched the trends and decided to create a home the way she wanted it. She decided to customize almost all the pieces of furniture herself to create a truly unique interior. She did most of the work herself. For example, she spent only 40 dollars to paint the floor. She made stencils of masking tape, bought bright paint and worked for several hours.

The girls’ friends think that the Havenders live in a real Barbie house. Rachel herself has this to say about her transformed apartment: “My house may be strange, but it’s normal for me.
