5 Promises From God Straight From the Bible

1.Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

The world today only knows brokenness, but God believes in hope and restoration. God’s plan for your life includes an incredibly hopeful and prosperous future. He has exciting things planned for your life and cannot wait to utilize you as a Christian in His army. God wants to bless your life to become one where you will truly thrive. When bad things happen, sometimes people are quick to blame God. However God doesn’t want your life to be difficult or full of disaster and even the worst of situations can be turned around. They are all just a part of His plan.

2.Matthew 11:28-29
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

God promises us that He will always be there for us even in the worst of times. If you are facing an uphill battle remind yourself that you can find strength in God. He never leaves you unattended and is walking by you ever step of the way. He is here to fight for you and lift you up. Turn to God during your worst moments and He will help hold the burden of your anxiety, stress, fear and anger. God will give your heart a moment to breath and relax when you need it most, all you have to do is pray for His help

3.2 Peter 1:4
And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

This promise is one of the most important ones we can get from our Lord. Here, God is promising that we have a chance to be redeemed from our sins and are offered an eternal home in heaven. The world today is full of evil, sin and darkness. It can be scary that there is no hope for us, but that changes when we let Jesus into our hearts. When we accept Jesus as our one true Savior we can take comfort in the fact that we have a beautiful forever home waiting for us after our passing.

4.Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord.

God will provide you with unconditional love that absolutely nothing can rip apart now and forever. We live in a world full of sinful and destructive relationships where love fades quickly or isn’t real. We can find such great comfort knowing that God is able to teach us what real love is. He provides us with the love that no one else truly can! The need we feel for love to fill our heart can only be filled by Our Savior.

5.Peter 121
The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand…The Lord will keep you from all harm – He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

This chapter in the Bible is incredibly popular to read right before bed, because God promises to protect us while we sleep. However it also provides us with so much more. Not only will God watch us while we’re in bed, He will protect our lives forever. God promises to be with us no matter where we are in life. The chapter describes God as our unfailing protector who gives us an eternal home. He wants to have a relationship with you in both this life and in heaven.
