What do you do while you’re waiting for God to lead you down the next route while still standing still? I’m going to increase my trust!
I’m going to improve my spiritual connection with God.
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:22-25
I find a lot of instruction in these verses.
I’m going to use these scriptures to strengthen five various aspects of my life to improve my faith in God, and I want to inspire you to do the same!
5 Easy Ways To Improve Your Faith In God
- TRUST
Although somewhat obvious, this one can be the most challenging to carry through.
We must put our complete trust in Him.
It is prescribed in Proverbs 3:5, but Jesus is reiterating it here.
Have entire faith, complete confidence, and complete trust in God.
Worry, tension, anxiety, fear, and doubt should never be felt if we have faith in God.
If we have faith in God, we can fully rely on Him to provide all of our needs.
We totally believe that He will provide us an abundant life in addition to providing for our material needs.
It’s challenging to put all your faith in God.
It exhorts us to live each day in great faith, but consider how wonderful life would be if we were free from stress, anxiety, worry, dread, and doubt.
Intentionally focusing on God’s purposes for us rather than our own often necessitates putting our own goals and aspirations on hold.
In order to believe Him, we must remove all doubt from our hearts and replace it with faith.
By doing this, we will witness Him lead us in the paths we are really destined to take, which will further strengthen our faith.
2: PRAY
It’s acceptable to bring God our entire needs list.
Giving Him every one of our troubles, concerns, and fears is acceptable.
It is OK to beg God to intervene in our life and to provide the necessities we require.
He desires a close relationship with each and every one of us and wants to hear our voices.
Daily prayer can help us build a stronger relationship with God and invite him into our lives.
By allowing the power of prayer to work in our lives, we can strengthen our faith.
Any type of prayer, whether formal or casual, is OK in my opinion as long as you are speaking to God.
We are told to pray without ceasing and to be thankful in any situation.
As a result, in order to really live out our faith, we must constantly turn to God in prayer.
I am confident that God hears every prayer I offer.
I am aware that not all of my prayers will always be answered in the manner or timing I would choose.
That won’t ever stop me from praying fervently, though.
3: READ SCRIPTURES
We must be familiar with God’s Word!
We must schedule time to sit with our Bibles.
We require His Word to be ingrained in our bodies, thoughts, and hearts.
Trusting God and praying go hand in hand with knowing God’s Word.
Read His promises, and then have complete faith that He will make good on them.
Pray for your life with them.
We can find courage, hope, love, peace, and joy in the written Word of God.
Additionally, we shall discover assurances of provision and guidelines for avoiding sin and rebuking the adversary.
Through His instructions, we will develop wisdom, knowledge, and insight in our lives.
4: BRING HIS WORD TO LIFE
After all our reading, research, and note-taking, it’s time to put our knowledge to use.
Applying the Bible to our daily life will enhance our faith and expand our relationship with God.
I believe that if those who identify as Christians genuinely behaved like Christians, the world would be a better place.
I realize this is a rather direct statement, but it’s how I truly feel.
No one is perfect, of course, but we must resolve to develop our faith and conduct lives that put God first.
I enjoy reading the Gospels, getting to know Jesus, and realizing the kind of life I’m supposed to live.
When studying the scriptures, index cards might be useful in situations like this.
I make a list of verses that I know I need to consciously apply to my life and then I start doing so.
5: BE THE LIGHT
Shine bright, my dear friends; you are the light of the world.
We are to show each other love and compassion.
We must support and strengthen one another.
We ought to be happy people who don’t moan all day long.
We need to donate our time, talents, and resources.
When people look at you, let them see someone who not only professes trust in God but also lives a life of great faith.
Let your activities encourage people to put God first and let them see you as an example of how to live this way.
