10 Astounding Biblical Truths that Will Change How You View the World

In a world ruled by RELATIVISM, everyone has their own version of truth. As a consequence of believing that there’s no absolute truth, everyone has gone their own way. Because of the difficulty of finding genuine truth, most people just based their truths upon unstable feelings, leading to a world torn by different belief systems.

However, there is a type of truth that stands above all the rest – the truth we find in the Bible. When we believe what the Bible says and what it teaches, we can dramatically improve the way we see the world. We gain a deeper understanding of the purpose of life, what we must do in this life, and what life has to offer both today and in the future.

That’s why in this post, I have listed 10 of the astounding truths that will RADICALLY and positively change the way you look at life itself and the world around you. These truths, when taken seriously, will help you make the right decisions and ensure that your actions are according to the will of God.

So here are the ten biblical truths that will change your worldview today!

Biblical truth no. 1: God exists.

Many people believe that God does not exist. They ardently claim that we all just appeared by chance and there’s nothing more into this world than just live and die. However, the Bible clearly tells us, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). There’s no “maybe,” “perhaps,” or “possibly.” But Genesis 1:1 is clear, authoritative, and SURE. It comes with a deep and powerful affirmation that we are created by God and He existed throughout the eternity.

Most people know that God exists, but they refuse to believe it. They wilfully ignore this biblical truth. “Although, they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, THEY BECAME FOOLS” (Romans 1:21-22).

But if you believe that God exists and let that belief govern your thinking and actions, then you will live this life according to His will and purpose. You will have a sense of direction that so many people woefully have lost. Firmly believe that God exists and you will surely live a more fulfilling life.

Biblical truth no. 2: The Bible is the source of all truths.

The Bible is the source of all truths. Men may make fun of it, ridicule and doubt it, but it won’t change the fact that the Bible contains all the truths that will guide us to living this life according to God’s will. People think that they know better than God. However, they only end up hurting themselves.

We read:

“ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (II Timothy 3:16-17).

You might have your own truth, but the truth that comes from God and His word is infallible, irrefutable, and indisputable. When we believe that the Bible is the very word of God, we need to take heed and do our best to live our lives according to the Bible.

Biblical truth no. 3: Jesus Christ will one day establish His Kingdom here on earth.

Throughout the past centuries, many believers and unbelievers alike have waited for the second coming of our Lord and Savior. Some who grew impatient made foolish predictions, and when they fail, they make a mockery out of Christianity. Some who were tired waiting for Jesus’ return came back to the world. Thus we must take to heart this extraordinary warning from Christ:

“AND TAKE HEED TO YOURSELVES, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth” (Luke 21:34-36).

If we believe that Jesus (Yashua) is truly the Son of God and He is the promised Savior of this world, we should understand the Bible when we read:

“For the Lord himself will DESCEND FROM HEAVEN with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord” (I Thessalonians 4:16-17).

When we believe this biblical truth, we can have the enduring hope and unshakable faith and believe that all the sufferings of this life are nothing compared to the reward we will receive when we persevere until the end!

Biblical truth no. 4: Satan is the god of this world.

For unbelievers and skeptics, they can’t understand why the world is full of hate, pain, suffering, and even death! However, as we read the Bible, we can figure out why the world is too far from the paradise it once was.

The Bible tells us that Satan “DECEIVES the WHOLE WORLD” (Revelation 12:9)! We further read that Satan is the god of this world (II Corinthians 4:4).

Some people blame God every time something bad happens. They even call natural calamities as the “act of God.” This is a satanic deception. Satan loves to pass his fault to God and make him look good. But that deception should not affect us because we already know the REAL culprit and that’s Satan!

Biblical truth no. 5: It is more blessed to give than to receive.

From the human perspective, it is tough to believe that “it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). When we receive something, we automatically think that is a blessing! However, when we give something, we rarely feel blessed. We feel this way because of our carnal mind and human nature.

However, if we believe the Bible, we need to accept Acts 20:35 as a fact. You know why? Because the fact that you are in the position to give something means that you are blessed enough to give something! The moment you share and give, you are giving a part of yourself. True blessedness and happiness do not come from getting, but it comes from giving. If you really want to be genuinely joyful, you have to give joy and happiness to other. Eventually, the joy you gave will find its way back to you!

So believe when the Bible say it is more blessed to give than to receive. Practice this principle, and you will have a more fulfilling life!

Biblical truth no. 6: We reap what we sow.

This divine spiritual law gives us the idea that whatever we do, it comes with both spiritual and physical consequences. The evil in this world happens because there is a cause. We might see the symptoms, but we also need to know the cause.

We read:

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Galatians 6:7-8).

If you sow good things, expect that you will sow good things as well. If you sow bad things, then you will also sow bad things. However, so many people today live this life as if their actions will not affect their future. They believe the lie that a little sin will not lead to dire consequences. NOTHING COULD BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

When we believe this biblical truth – the principle of sowing and reaping – we can be more responsible with what we think, say, and do. We would think twice before doing things that may hurt us and the people around us. We will also do more of the good things because we know that we will do also good things and ultimately, eternal life.

Biblical truth no. 7: All things work together for good to those who love God.

We read in Romans 8:28, “And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” What does this mean? It means that whatever it is that you are facing right now, God will eventually and ultimately make all things work together for good. If we love God, we see trials and difficulties as something that makes us stronger. These trials are given to us so we can develop the godly character God wants us to build.

In this life, we will have sorrows. However, if we believe this biblical truth, we can have the confidence that everything happens for a purpose. Instead of asking “why me?” we ask, “What are the lessons we can learn from these problems.”

There will come a time when we can look back and see all things making sense. We may not completely understand why things happen the way they are, we can have the confidence that God is preparing us for a greater purpose. If God asks us to put something down, he wants us to pick up something better. All things will fall into its right place eventually.

Biblical truth no. 8: Death is not permanent.

When there’s life, there’s death. The moment we start living, we start dying as well. However, if we know and believe that death is not permanent, we can be filled with hope. When all things seem to end through death, we can have the confidence that God has the power to bring us back to life. Jesus said, “the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live” (John 5:25).

When a loved one dies, we can believe in this blessed hope and obtain comfort from it:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first… Wherefore COMFORT ONE ANOTHER with these words” (I Thessalonians 4:16, 18).

It’s okay to mourn, sigh, and cry because of death, but we can have the comfort from the fact that God will ultimately resurrect everyone and give them a chance to be part of His eternal Kingdom.

Biblical truth no. 9. Sin leads to death.

Sin is the very reason there’s death. We read:

“For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). To make things worse, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Everyone committed sin and therefore, everyone deserves death.

The problem is that when we are about to commit sin, we think that it will not harm us. Satan is so cunning that he packaged sin with beautiful trappings and attractive decorations. The short-term pleasure of sin BLINDS us to its real and deadly effects, which is death. While we don’t automatically die every time we sin, the consequences are real. Every sin comes with negative effects that slowly kill us both physically and spiritually.

We need to believe that sin leads to death and it is a destructive habit. We may not feel its immediate consequence, but LET US NOT DECEIVE OURSELVES that we can escape the penalty of sin. That’s why we need Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. He died for our sins and gave us the chance to be part of His family. Romans 6:23 went on to say, “… but the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.” So let us not waste the sacrifice of Christ and let us live a life pleasing to God.

Biblical truth no. 10. World events will fulfill Bible prophecy.

Did you ever looked at the global arena and wonder where all these will lead? If yes, you would be delighted to know that the Bible shows us where all these things are heading. In reality, the world events we see are setting the stage for the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies.

The point here is that when we look at the world and believe that prophecies are about to happen, we can be sure that God is still in complete control. He is still in charge, and He will not let Satan ultimately rule the earth. Time will come, as we see in Bible prophecies that God will send back His Son here on earth to directly intervene in the affairs of men.

Final Words

These are just some of the Biblical truths that you should know. Now that you have these truths, you can now have a deeper understanding when studying events within your community, country, and the world as a whole. May we all gain the wisdom and knowledge from the Bible and live this life according to God’s will and purpose.
